Today it is my stop on the Blog Tour for Million Love Songs by Carole Matthews. I will be sharing my review for Million Love Songs and I will be sharing my favourite Love Songs with you. All Of Me by John Legend Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran How Long Will I Love you by Ellie Goulding A Thousand Years by Christina Perry At Last by Etta James You can also check out Carole Matthew's favourite Love songs on Spotify  BY CLICKING HERE Ruby Brown is ready for a change. She's single for the first time in years and she's going to dive into this brave new world with a smile on her face and a spring in her step. The last thing she's looking for is a serious relationship. Mason represents everything Ruby wants right now: he's charming, smooth and perfect for some no-strings-attached fun. Joe on the other hand is kind and attractive, but comes with the sort of baggage Ruby wants to avoid: an annoyingly attractive ex-wife and two teenage children. MY REVIEW I am always eager to...

When Lou Wandsworth ran away to France with her teacher Mike Hughes, she thought he was the love of her life. But Mike wasn’t what he seemed and he left her life in pieces. Now 32, Lou discovers that he is involved with teenager Chloe Meadows. Determined to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself, she returns home to confront him for the damage he’s caused. But Mike is a predator of the worst kind, and as Lou tries to bring him to justice, it’s clear that she could once again become his prey… I have read a lot of positive reviews for The Fear by C.L Taylor and I have previous enjoyed her books so I was eager to track a copy down and see what thrilling storyline she has instore for us this time around. Louise Wandsworth has reached the ripe age of 32 but she hasn’t fully embraced life as her past is still holding her back. When she was a teenager she ran off to France with her Karate Teacher believing she was totally in love with him but she began to see Mike had another side to him tha...

Spring Blogger Event 2018

Image
It is hard to believe it has been a year since I have attended a book publisher event but I can tell you I really have missed being amongst authors, publishers and bloggers so it was wonderful to be invited to The Books and the City Spring Blogger Event hosted by the wonderful SJ at the Simon and Schuster Offices which has had an amazing major revamp. W e were spoilt this year with not one not two but TEN yes 10 authors to talk to us about their new book babies which are released this year. Each of the authors were asked some questions about their books and then they kindly read an extract of their books which if I wasn't tempted to read before I certainly was after I had heard a little snippet of them. We heard from Victoria Walters, author of Random Acts of Kindness which is being released in four parts the first of which is currently FREE on Kindle. I have read part 1 and 2, I am so eager to read part 3 to see what happens to the three main characters next. PART 3 is published 2...

Marnie Salt has made so many mistakes in her life that she fears she will never get on the right track. But when she ‘meets’ an old lady on a baking chatroom and begins confiding in her, little does she know how her life will change. Arranging to see each other for lunch, Marnie finds discovers that Lilian is every bit as mad and delightful as she’d hoped – and that she owns a whole village in the Yorkshire Dales, which has been passed down through generations. And when Marnie needs a refuge after a crisis, she ups sticks and heads for Wychwell – a temporary measure, so she thinks. But soon Marnie finds that Wychwell has claimed her as its own and she is duty bound not to leave. Even if what she has to do makes her as unpopular as a force 12 gale in a confetti factory! But everyone has imperfections, as Marnie comes to realise, and that is not such a bad thing – after all, your flaws are perfect for the heart that is meant to love yo...

Random Acts of Kindness by Victoria Walters

Welcome to Littlewood, a small town community with a big heart...   Abbie has fled London and the humiliation of not being able to make rent after being made redundant. Louise , unlucky in love, has thrown herself into her career at the local hospital. And Eszter , who has travelled from Hungary with her daughter  Zoe,  hopes to fulfill her husband's dying wish... to reunite his family I am so excited that Victoria Walters is back to bring us another book as I absolutely loved her debut The Second Love of My Life which in my opinion didn’t get the attention it deserved. Now she is back with Random Acts of Kindness which is being released as 4 parts which you all know I am not a fan of purely because of the fact I am greedy and impatient! However I wasn’t going to miss out on the chance to enjoy more of Victoria Walters writing so I was willing to put my greed to one side and download part one ( it helped knowing part two had already been released shh!) The first pa...

A Country Escape by Katie Fforde

Fran has always wanted to be a farmer. And now it looks as if her childhood dream is about to come true. She has just moved in to a beautiful but very run-down farm in the Cotswolds, currently owned by an old aunt who has told Fran that if she manages to turn the place around in a year, the farm will be hers. But Fran knows nothing about farming. She might even be afraid of cows. She's going to need a lot of help from her best friend Issi, and also from her wealthy and very eligible neighbour - who might just have his own reasons for being so supportive. Is it the farm he is interested in? Or Fran herself? I am a big fan of Katie Fforde, her books never disappoint and they always leave you feeling pleasantly uplifted and her latest book A Country Escape is no exception. When Fran is contacted out of the blue by a distant relative Amy with news that she maybe inline to inherit the family farm in the Cotswolds she makes a big and brave decision to leave everything she knows and up st...
